Prescriptions
Please follow the guidelines and choose the right option for you.
Ordering a prescription
- Please allow us 72 hours (three working days), to process your prescription request.
- We do not accept repeat prescription requests over the phone.
- Occasionally, the Acute Care Team may arrange a prescription over the telephone for collection at one of our other Practices – please check with the GP during your conversation.
When you order a prescription online, you can have it sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice. This is called a nomination.
When a patient has not nominated a pharmacy, prescriptions may be collected from the reception desk at Ivor Street Surgery between 10am to 5pm.
Urgent prescriptions
If you require an urgent prescription, please attend our practice at Ivor Street to complete our urgent request form.
The NHS Wales App
Order repeat prescriptions via the NHS Wales App or the NHS Wales website, and have them sent to a pharmacy of your choice.
